Last Journey Letters

The following letter was sent by Theodore G. Ott Y1 to wife and family while aboard USS Indianapolis on her last voyage. On Monday July 30, 1945, at approximately 0002 hours (2 minutes after midnight), USS Indianapolis was struck by two torpedoes fired by submarine I-58 of the Imperial Japanese Navy.
Letter from his wife Peggy telling him she was pregnant with twins was returned undeliverable.
